Sintra Free Tour
Tour Details
At the designated time, we'll meet at the indicated meeting point and set off into this UNESCO World Heritage town. As we walk, we'll trace its story, from its origins as a hamlet in the forest through to the present day.
We'll make our way to the imposing Sintra Town Hall before heading into the heart of the old town, where the National Palace awaits with its unmistakable conical chimneys. Along the way, we'll hear the legends that surround this town of pastel shades, and learn about its best-known local produce: the queijadas of Sintra and the wines of Colares.
Depending on the route, we may also stroll the leafy Volta do Duche, pay our respects at the Cantinho do Lord Byron, or seek out the refreshing Fonte dos Pisões, each with its own story to tell.
And there's more waiting along the way, from historic churches and grand old hotels to hidden fountains and viewpoints that most visitors walk straight past. You'll have to join us to find out exactly where the route takes you!
After approximately 2 hours and 15-30 minutes, we'll bring the tour to a close in the heart of Sintra, leaving you perfectly placed to carry on exploring at your own pace.
